The Lonely Girl by Gracie Wilson

Today's review is Gracie Wilson's The Lonely Girl.

Blurb:One night can change it all. One argument can leave you reeling. A look can take you to a place you can never return from again. What happens when one day, you wake up and find your world has been turned upside down? The person you love is gone. The life you thought you'd have is no longer one you see being able to get back to. You lost the one person you loved more than anything. They tell you to move on, try. For them. It’s what they would want. But is it really? So I try.
This time, will be different. I slowly start to put the shattered pieces of my heart back together, only to have it broken again, by someone I thought I trusted. My heart's barely healed, my world just starting to make sense again, when tragedy and devastation strikes. My circumstances leave me asking one question… Is it worth the risk to love again?

Here is the story of Becca. We follow Becca for about a year and a half and find her about 8 months after a horrific car accident took the love of her life. As you would expect, the accident has messed with Becca’s at her very core. We follow along as she wonders if she is ready to love again.

This story pulled me in from the start and kept me glued to it. I admit that I didn’t *just* finish this story. The moment that I finished I literally said out loud, “NO! What the hell? She can’t finish it like that!” and then I sent a Facebook message to Gracie begging for book two. I had to see what happened next. (Let me just say, WOW! That is what happens in book two... W O W!)

I don’t think this is too much of a spoiler, but my favorite quote would have to be “Did I hear that right?” Alec exclaimed, “You agree he’s an asshat? Finally!” If I had to change one thing about the story, it would have to be the back and forth. I won’t go into more detail in case you haven’t read it yet.

All around I felt this was a great story and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Bree Pierce: Spotlight Day 2

Happy Tuesday everyone! I wanted to stop by and make sure that everyone has seen the giveaway.

I also wanted to share an email I got from Laine Grant. Laine is in the following books:

My name is Laine Grant, but many now know me as the phoenix.  I am the living embodiment of the being that keeps the balance between good and evil, the balance between the world of the humans and vampires.  When that balance is tilted greatly in one direction or the other every thousand years or so, the phoenix is reborn into a vampire.  That vampire is me.
Years ago I was kidnapped by vampires from an underground community when I was just 8.  They raised the kidnapped children while feeding off of them and once the children were of age, they were given the choice to become a vampire.  Before I had been there long, the young prince helped me escape.  We met again in college, but he was one of them.  It was not revealed to me until it was too late and I found myself to be carrying his child.  During the pregnancy I slowly turned into the blood-thirsty vampire of legends; the birth completing the process.
I never asked for this.  In fact, I hated vampires after what I went through, but I could never deny the love I felt for Harry.  Now, I sit on a gilt throne contemplating the future as he takes the seat by my side.  No one is above me, but together we rule this area, and vampires from afar come to us because of who I am, because my power is greater than any other.  And it will be needed.  Harry doesn’t know it, but I have foreseen the future.  Something is coming, and it will destroy many lives, human and vampire alike.  I have seen the decimation of the world.
I don't know about you, but I am eager to meet her!

Chartreuse by T.E. Ridener

Hi there! Today I am reviewing Chartreuse, by T.E. Ridener.  What I am doing different this time, is I have also made a podcast of this review. Yes it seems long, but the podcast is only about 7 minutes long. I go into a bit more detail, especially in the end about my feelings on this book, and the author.

As many of you already know, I am her PA. I do however go and buy her books before I review them. This is because of Amazon pulling reviews because they think someone knows the author or because it is a fake review, who knows why. All I know is I have seen a lot of authors and bloggers lose reviews lately because of this and I don't want it to happen to T.

The Artist's Love by S.H. Pratt

After months and months, here is my review of The Artist's Love, the conclusion of the epic romance, The Artist's Touch. Don't think I am partial because I am in the Acknowledgements, it is a great book!

First things first:
If you have not read book one, please stop reading now.
I am not responsible for spoilers!

The Artist's Touch by S.H. Pratt

During my time over at Platypire Reviews, I finally sat down and wrote my review for The Artist's Touch. Here it is:

Interview with S.H. Pratt

Good morning lovelies!
As you all know, I am back to my blog, back home. This week starts a new era on the blog and I am hoping that it works out!

Today we have an amazing interview with S.H. Pratt. Later today I will be publishing my reviews for her epic romance, The Artist's Touch and The Artist's Love. S.H. split the romance into two books because there were so many pages, she didn't want readers to become overwhelmed.

Hello again!

Hello again lovely people!

I know I have been gone for a while, however I am back now. I have decided to reopen the blog as of August 1, 2016. It may be sooner, I haven't decided yet. Things were crazy with my work schedule, things at home and all that jazz.

I am very excited to be coming back to my baby. I started this blog four and a half years ago. I have had my ups and downs with it, but I am so glad to be back!

You can always find me on Facebook. My page, my personal profile, or my swag page.
